Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the School of Foreign Languages

On April 25, 2025, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted an event to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the School of Foreign Languages.
The occasion brought together students, alumni, faculty, and university leadership.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Dean Svitlana Virotchenko, who reflected on the school’s rich history, expressed gratitude to everyone contributing to its development, and wished for continued success in the future.
Following the Dean’s remarks, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Anatolii Babichev extended his congratulations to the School of Foreign Languages on its anniversary.
Dr. Babichev emphasized the school’s unique legacy and offered sincere and inspiring wishes. During the event, he ceremoniously launched a shared “book of associations” dedicated to the School of Foreign Languages, which all guests later contributed to.
After the official greetings, attendees enjoyed creative performances by the talented students and faculty of the school. Musical and theatrical acts created a warm and proud atmosphere.
Participants then took part in interactive challenges focused on the school’s history and foreign languages. Students, teachers, and alumni showcased their wit, teamwork, and fondly recalled the brightest moments of university life.
Students also participated in a thematic quest, while alumni and professors had the chance to reconnect, share memories, and experience the spirit of intergenerational unity.
A particularly touching moment was the screening of a video montage featuring heartfelt greetings from students, alumni, and faculty from around the world.
We thank everyone who took part in this celebration. Let us continue writing our shared history together!
