On December 5, the Heinrich Semiradsky Art Gallery at Karazin University opened the exhibition "The Future Has Arrived" by renowned Kharkiv sculptors Oleksandr Ridnyi and Anna Ivanova.

Many art enthusiasts gathered for the opening ceremony and had the opportunity to interact with the artists. A welcoming speech was given by Natalia Ivanova, director of the YermilovCenter for Contemporary Art, Viktor Kovtun, head of the Kharkiv branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and People's Artist of Ukraine, and representatives of the charity organization "Turbota Kharkiv."

The exhibition was organized by the Heinrich Semiradsky Art Gallery in collaboration with the YermilovCenter for Contemporary Art, with the support of the charity organization "Turbota Kharkiv." Natalia Ivanova emphasized the importance of support for everyone, particularly now, when it is felt more than ever. She noted that it is wonderful when artists have friends who help them create projects and open exhibitions.

In their works, Oleksandr Ridnyi and Anna Ivanova address timeless values, provoke thought, sometimes take us back to childhood, and create space for various interpretations.

The exhibition is presented in the form of a total installation, inviting viewers to engage in a play where elements of the past and present are organically combined, and all objects tell a fairy-tale story, encouraging reflection and contemplation on life.

The exhibition is unique in its cumulative evidential power of artistic assertion. Oleksandr Ridnyi and Anna Ivanova skillfully use the full range of sculptural language, from basic plastic solutions to the most refined examples. The artists confidently direct their artistic practices toward creating new meanings and the exhibition’s exploration of important themes.

Take the opportunity to visit the exhibition "The Future Has Arrived," which will be open until January 25, 2025.
