Training for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Transport, and Welding Faculty Members of the Educational and Scientific Institute “UIPA” on Newly Acquired CNC Machines

As part of the project “Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results”, the Education and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has received modern computer numerical control (CNC) machines. The delivery package includes the following equipment:

• 5-axis CNC turning center MLS 420×500 S12/5;

• CNC milling machining center MM 855 S24;

• CNC lathe with slant bed MLS 420×500 S12;

• Universal lathe M-TK 560×1500;

• Universal milling machine UWF120.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Transport, and Welding will use this equipment for training and scientific research.

The machines have now been installed in the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy.” The department’s faculty members have completed basic training in machine setup and maintenance.

Ahead lies significant work in mastering this modern equipment. The goal is clear — to learn how to operate the machines effectively ourselves and to teach our students to do the same!
