Ceremonial Meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Physics and Technology
On November 26, 2025, an expanded ceremonial meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Physics and Technology was held.
During the meeting, on behalf of and at the instruction of the Rector of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Tetiana Kahanovska, the institute’s team was greeted by Borys Samorodov, Vice-Rector for Research and Education.
The Rector’s Certificates of Appreciation for many years of conscientious work and significant personal contribution to the development of science and education were awarded to:

Volodymyr Olefir, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics;

Serhii Lytovchenko, Head of the Department of Reactor Materials and Physical Technologies;

Nataliia Popenko, Leading Specialist of the Institute of Physics and Technology.

The attendees were also addressed with congratulatory speeches by:

Mykola Azaryenkov – Acting Director General of the National Science Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology,” Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Dean of the School of Physics and Technology (1996–2005);

The ceremony concluded with a scientific and historical presentation by Mykola Azaryenkov, dedicated to the memory of Academician Oleksandr Illiich Akhiezer, Head of the Department of Theoretical Nuclear Physics of the faculty from 1951 to 1973 (on the 25th anniversary of his passing).
