The Kharkiv Regional Chess Championship Took Place at Karazin University

Karazin University became the venue for the Kharkiv Regional Chess Championship 2025. Over several days, our halls welcomed the best chess players of the region, who competed in three formats: classical, rapid, and blitz.

A total of 44 players from Kharkiv and the region took part in the tournament, including international grandmasters, international masters, masters of sports of Ukraine, and a FIDE master. The tournament atmosphere was both intense and heartfelt — full of unexpected moves and genuine emotions.

The championship was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Chess Federation of Ukraine, the Kharkiv City Council, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Karazin University, as well as charitable organizations and partners.
