Modern VR/AR laboratory opened at the ERI "UEPA"
A modern virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) laboratory has been opened at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, on the basis of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy", under the project "UEPA VR/AR Laboratory: Towards the Implementation of Immersive Technologies in Higher Education and Vocational Schools of Ukraine". The project was implemented within the international project call "skill.ED" of the Romanian Kronospan Foundation, aimed at introducing immersive technologies in higher and vocational education institutions of Ukraine.
The laboratory is equipped with a powerful computer and laptop for creating 3D models and virtual laboratories, and 5 virtual reality headsets. The new laboratory will provide students and teachers with the opportunity to use advanced VR/AR technologies for education, research and professional training. This is an important step towards modernizing the educational process and bringing it closer to modern standards. The project will also involve students and teachers of vocational education institutions.
The opening of the laboratory is another confirmation of the university’s commitment to innovation and integration of modern digital technologies into educational activities.
