A Roundtable Discussion on the Implementation of the "Program to Support Defenders of Ukraine and Their Families for 2024–2028" took place at Karazin University
On January 25, a roundtable discussion on the implementation of the "Program to Support Defenders of Ukraine and Their Families for 2024–2028" took place at Karazin University.
The event was attended by the Director of the University's Extracurricular Activities Center, Tetyana Cherednychenko, Olga Lekhan, a deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council, Viktor Trubchanov, Co-Chair of the NGO "Association of Armed Forces of Ukraine," Vlad Yakimenko, Chief of Staff of the NGO "Association of ATO Veterans," as well as representatives of veteran and volunteer organizations in the Kharkiv region, military personnel, and veterans.
During the meeting, the veteran and volunteer communities of the Slobozhanshchyna region discussed the provisions of the "Program," adopted by the Kharkiv Regional Council on December 21, 2023, aiming to strengthen and enhance its effectiveness through practical insights and the community's experience.
Specifically, during the roundtable, the following proposed additions to the "Program" were discussed:
- Providing veterans with housing under the special "60 to 40" program.
- Support for grant projects for veterans.
- Targeted assistance to veteran farmers.
- Partial compensation for dental services for veterans.
