A Lecture by the Renowned Ukrainian Scholar, Translator and Poet Maxim Stryha Took Place at Karazin University
For the members of the Karazin community, a lecture was delivered by the renowned Ukrainian scientist, public and political figure, translator, and writer Maxim Stryha.
The invited lecturer was welcomed by Vil Bakirov, Academic Advisor to the Rector. He noted that Mr. Maxim is a good friend of Karazin and has visited various events at the university on several occasions, so the Karazinites are very grateful for this opportunity.
As part of the lecture titled 'Canterbury Tales' by Geoffrey Chaucer: translation issues,' Maxim Stryha spoke about the era of Chaucer and his formation, the linguistic features of the writer's works, and the challenges and nuances of translation.
At the end of the meeting, all attendees had the opportunity to ask questions to the scholar.
