The Second Series of Digital Literacy Training Sessions for University Staff and Internally Displaced Persons was Held at Karazin University
At Karazin University, the second series of training sessions on digital and financial literacy for staff and internally displaced persons has concluded. Conducting digital literacy training is becoming a cherished tradition at our university, supported by Nokius conference participants and Norway's Directorate for Digitalization (Digdir). These events, aimed at enhancing awareness of modern digital services and basic financial planning, garnered significant interest among participants and marked an important step in fostering a digital culture within the university.
On November 29, 2024, a training session dedicated to digital literacy was held, focusing on the capabilities of popular services like Diia. The session was conducted by Dmytro Boiko, Head of the Department of Political Sociology at the Faculty of Sociology, and Ruslan Zaporozhchenko, Senior Lecturer at the same department.
Participants gained practical knowledge on:
- Using Diia.Signature to sign documents online;
- Applying for the eRecovery program to receive financial assistance for damaged property restoration;
- Generating and receiving certificates via the Diia application;
- Accessing educational series on the Diia.Education platform, which offers opportunities to acquire new skills and earn certificates for free.
On December 2, 2024, Karazin University hosted a second training session dedicated to financial literacy and electronic healthcare.
The first part of the session, led by Anna Chkheilo, Director of the Karazin Banking Institute, covered topics such as protection against financial fraud, the basics of using the National Cashback program to earn bonuses for purchases, and the functionality of the Garazd platform offered by the National Bank of Ukraine, which provides modern tools for financial management.
The second part of the session, conducted by Daria Yashkina, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Sociology, focused on working with the electronic healthcare system, eHealth. Participants learned how to:
- Schedule medical appointments through the HELSI platform;
- Manage medical information and track treatment history;
- Purchase medications online;
- Register or change their family doctor.
Additionally, participants without smartphones were provided with new gadgets to enable them to apply the knowledge acquired during the training sessions and participate in the digital transformation processes in Ukraine.
These training sessions demonstrated how Karazin University actively promotes the development of digital and financial skills among its staff. This not only boosts workplace efficiency but also helps integrate modern technologies into everyday life.
