On November 7, 2025, the main building of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted the opening of a photo exhibition by Zaporizhzhia photographer Ihor Lavrov, titled “Warriors. People. Heroes.”

The project aims to depict war through the lens of human stories. The photographs feature the faces of soldiers from the 15th Separate Brigade of Operational Assignment named after Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Bohdan Zavada “Kara-Dag”, who defend positions on the Kupiansk and Zaporizhzhia fronts, capturing both combat duties and everyday life at the front. A separate section of the exhibition showcases works by journalist Serhiy Nuzhnenko, created in Donetsk.

The event was attended by the exhibition’s author Ihor Lavrov, military personnel, Member of Parliament Viktoriya Kinzburska, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Ivan Yevhen, Rector of Karazin University Tetyana Kaganovska, and Vice-Rector Anatoliy Babichev.

The opening began with a moment of silence in honor of fallen soldiers, including those whose faces appear in the exhibited photographs.

Rector Tetyana Yevhenivna noted:
"It is a great honor for the university community that this exhibition takes place here. Today, it is important not to forget the cost of every day we live," and addressed the servicemen:
"I thank each of you for doing everything possible in your position for our future and for teaching the younger generation by your example."

The exhibition “Warriors. People. Heroes” invites reflection on respect, the value of freedom, and the sense of unity. The uplifting tone of the photographs reinforces confidence in the resilience of our homeland and the strength of the Ukrainian people.

The exhibition will run for two weeks, until November 21, 2025, at 4 Svobody Square, Main Building of Karazin University, second-floor foyer.
