Karazin University Hosts Its Open Day
Today, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University warmly opened its doors to future students. The traditional Open Day was held in a hybrid format — at the YermilovCentre and online — bringing together hundreds of prospective students, their parents, and lecturers.

Throughout the day, the faculties and educational-scientific institutes presented their own exhibition zones, where visitors could learn about academic programs, opportunities for academic mobility, student life, international cooperation, and employment prospects. The atmosphere of the event was truly festive: meetings with students, consultations with professors, and informal communication took place. Guests of Karazin University also had the opportunity to visit tours of the university museums, the Central Scientific Library, and the LandauCentre.

At the same time, an online broadcast was held, featuring welcoming speeches from Rector Tetyana Kaganovska, informative presentations by Anna Zubenko, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee; Iryna Shteimiller, Head of the International Relations Office; Valeriia Kurilchenko, Acting Director of the Pre-University Education Center; Oleksandr Peliukh, Head of the Trade Union Committee of Students, Postgraduates, and Doctoral Candidates; and Sofiia Panasiuk, Head of the Student Council. Thanks to live connections from the faculties and institutes at the YermilovCentre, viewers were able to feel as if they were right at the event.
“Karazin University is not only about studying — it’s a community that shapes the future. We are glad that today’s meeting allows young people to feel our spirit and energy,” said Rector Tetyana Kaganovska.
Ahead are online meetings with the faculties and educational-scientific institutes, which will take place from October 27 to 31. Throughout the week, representatives of each faculty and institute will answer applicants’ questions, talk about the specifics of studying, and help them make a confident choice of their future specialty.
