Karazin University Commences Professional Ukrainian Language Courses
Starting from March 7, 2024, Karazin University, through the Center for Postgraduate Education, has commenced training participants in qualification enhancement courses under the certificate educational program 'Ukrainian Language as the State Language in Professional Orientation.'
The educational process involves the participation of academic staff from various departments, including:
- Institute of International Economics and World Economy of the School of Economics;
- Institutes of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation, Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Immunology of the School of Medicine;
- Arthur Holikov Institute of International Economic Relations and Travel Business of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business;
- Institute of Physical Education and Sports at Karazin University;
- State Biotechnological University.
During the training, participants will explore the language's patterns that are used in different spheres of social life and directly in their professional activities. They will familiarize themselves with the peculiarities of literary language norms and basic communicative qualities of speech culture, as well as the stylistic resources of contemporary Ukrainian language. Course participants will upgrade their professional competencies in constructing stylistically refined texts and using melodious elements in Ukrainian language in their scientific, pedagogical, and methodological activities.
During the inaugural session, the director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, Mykhailo Tatarinov, conducted a briefing on safety measures during wartime conditions, introduced the schedule of the educational process, the specifics of conducting online sessions under the program, and the use of materials from the respective distance learning course. He also conducted an entrance evaluation, addressed participants' questions, and paid tribute to the memory of Ukrainians who lost their lives since February 24, 2022.
The educational process will continue until May 1, 2024.
