Teacher Training at Karazin University Begins

On February 17, 2025, the Center for Postgraduate Education at Karazin University launched a professional development program for teachers of Ukrainian language and literature, mathematics, foreign literature, computer science, and the subject "Art," as well as for practical psychologists, deputy principals for educational work, and educators from various general secondary education institutions in the Industrialnyi, Kyivskyi, Nemyshlianskyi, and Novobavarskyi districts of the Kharkiv City Council. The program also includes participants from a special school under the Kharkiv Regional Council and a municipal council of one of the rural districts of the Kharkiv region.
The educational process will be conducted by highly qualified academic and teaching staff from the School of Mathematics and Informatics, the School of Philology, and the Education and Research Institutes of "Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence" and "Academy of Teaching" at Karazin University. Additionally, long-standing partners such as representatives of the municipal institutions "Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 77 of the Kharkiv City Council" and "Kharkiv Educational and Rehabilitation Center No. 1 of the Kharkiv City Council" will contribute to the training.
Participants will engage in a series of practical classes and training sessions, as well as lectures combined with modular exercises on relevant topics. These include modern approaches to teaching general secondary education students within the "New Ukrainian School" program and preparing them for the NMT-2025 exam.
The introductory session, led by the Director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, Mykhailo Tatarynov, focused on the organizational and methodological aspects of the training, an initial safety briefing, an entry-level evaluation of participants’ professional needs, and responses to educators’ pressing questions.
The training program will continue until March 6, 2025.
