The First Training Session within the Program "From Conflict to Cooperation: The Path of Peacebuilding" has concluded at Karazin University

As part of the Erasmus+ project activities "Curriculum Reform to Promote Education for Peace in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova / PeaceEdu," from April to May 2025, 40 teaching and administrative staff from general secondary education institutions and educational institutions providing the corresponding level of general secondary education (in accordance with current legislation) from various regions of Ukraine underwent training in the program "From Conflict to Cooperation: The Path of Peacebuilding" conducted by specialists from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The program was developed based on the experience of representatives from the University of Tampere (Finland), the Institute of Peace Education (Finland), the University of Hildesheim (Germany), the University of Innsbruck (Austria), together with colleagues from Georgia and Moldova.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to:

  • expand their knowledge of the legal foundations of peacebuilding development, theories and typologies of conflicts, dissemination of peacebuilding practices in various communities, and the main stages of the conflict interaction process;

  • improve skills in conflict prevention;

  • master reconciliation algorithms and post-conflict communication methods.

Fifteen participants who successfully completed the final assessment received certificates of professional development.
