On 29 October 2025, a practical online workshop titled “Responsible Use of AI: Practical Examples and Modern Approaches” was held at Karazin University. The event was led by AI architect and educational content specialist Maksym Valin.

During the workshop, the speaker presented key cases, tools, and developments currently used in the field of artificial intelligence worldwide, and explained how they can be practically applied in the work of higher education institutions and in the learning process.

He placed special emphasis on the ethical aspects of AI use: responsibility and accountability, data privacy, fairness, and non-discrimination.

Participants also learned about the risks and challenges associated with AI, including the spread of disinformation and digital propaganda, data breaches, and algorithmic bias (discrimination against certain population groups).

Maksym Valin offered recommendations on how students can use AI ethically: generating initial ideas, improving writing quality, translating texts from foreign languages, creating outlines for essays, presentations, or projects, obtaining supplementary explanations for study material, and generating sample tasks to better understand assignments.

The second part of the event was devoted to a hands-on exploration of AI tools. Participants were shown what tools exist, their functions, and where and how they can be used.
