Academic Council Meeting Held at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University

On 9 February 2026, a meeting of the Academic Council in its newly approved composition was held at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The new composition was approved by an order dated 5 February 2026 for a five-year term.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Borys Samorodov, and was attended by 78 members of the Academic Council.

A secret ballot was conducted to elect the Chair of the Academic Council of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. According to the voting results, the Rector of the University, Tetyana Kaganovska, was unanimously elected as Chair of the Academic Council.

The Vice-Rector Volodymyr Dobrelya presented a report on improving the human resource management system at the university.

During the meeting, members of the Academic Council also considered a number of important issues, including:

• election of Deputy Chairs of the Academic Council;

• approval of the Regulations of the Academic Council and the Regulations on its Committees in a new edition;

• approval of the composition of the permanent committees of the Academic Council;

• approval of candidates for the award of named scholarships to the best postgraduate students;

• termination of certain educational programmes and their removal from the EDEBO register;

• approval of certificate-based educational programmes.

The adopted decisions are aimed at the further development of the University, enhancing the quality of the educational process, and improving the management system in response to modern challenges.
