Karazin University Held a Workshop for Students with Special Educational Needs and Their Teachers

On October 31, 2025, at the Mykola Barabashov Astronomy Museum, representatives of the Institute of Continuing Education of Karazin University conducted a workshop titled “The World of Astronomical Science for Students and Teachers” for students and teachers of the Municipal Institution “Kupiansk Special School” of the Kharkiv Regional Council.

Participants of this informative, educational, and practice-oriented event took part in various developmental activities. Considering the special educational needs of the students, the program at the Mykola Barabashov Astronomy Museum and its grounds also included engaging interactive exercises, such as time measurement tasks, using a sundial, and examples from the history of astronomical science.

Oleksandr Novak, Director of the University History Museum, conducted an inspiring guided tour, introducing participants to the specifics of telescope use for societal purposes and answering questions from both students and teachers during their interactive session.

At the end of the event, Mykhailo Tatarynov, Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, presented certificates of professional competence enhancement to teachers and gave students an informational booklet about distinguished Karazin University scientists.
