Advanced Training for Teachers from Various Educational Institutions Launched at Karazin University

On September 25, 2024, Karazin University launched an educational program for teachers of English, foreign literature, computer science (including information and communication technologies), primary school (grades 1-4), subjects such as "Exploring Nature" and "Defense of Ukraine," natural science (grades 5-6), physics (including astronomy), physical education, and deputy heads of educational and pedagogical work from specific gymnasiums and lyceums in the Industrial, Nemyshlyansky, Novobavarsky, Saltivsky, and Shevchenkivsky districts of Kharkiv and the city of Sievierodonetsk.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, the lecture and practical sessions for different categories of participants at the Center for Postgraduate Education are particularly focused on the specifics of delivering the educational process to students in grades 5, 6, and 7, according to the new model programs of the "New Ukrainian School" in a distance learning format, assessing students' academic achievements, and developing subject competencies.

The educational process for teachers is conducted by highly qualified academic and teaching staff, practitioners, and authors of several textbooks for secondary education institutions. These include representatives from the School of Biology, the School of Physics, and the Institute of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, along with long-standing external partners such as experienced teacher-trainers from Kharkiv Lyceum No. 28, Lyceum No. 46, and Gymnasium No. 77 of the Kharkiv City Council.

This approach to providing effective services in the field of postgraduate education at Karazin University expands opportunities for participants to modernize their professional competencies, exchange practical experience on pressing issues of quality education in online formats, and address the significant challenges in preparing 11th-grade students for the 2025 National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT) and teacher certification.

The introductory session, led by the Director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, Mykhailo Tatarynov, addressed various legal and organizational aspects of the advanced training courses, compliance with life and health safety requirements for participants under martial law conditions, and the specifics of conducting classes.

Additionally, the teachers honored the memory of those who died since February 22, 2022. The educational process for this category of participants will continue until October 10, 2024.
