On 7 May, the Yermilov Centre for Contemporary Art of Karazin University was awarded the House of Europe Prize in the category Best International Cultural Cooperation for the project “Sense of Safety. Bridges of Solidarity,” implemented in partnership with antiwarcoalition.art and ambasadakultury. The award ceremony took place in Kyiv at Mystetskyi Arsenal and honoured individuals and organisations contributing to Ukraine’s progress in cooperation with the EU and the United Kingdom.

The Yermilov Centre team expresses deep gratitude to all partners and colleagues for their inspiring collaboration and for the courage to realise this project in Kharkiv during the full-scale invasion. This recognition is an important act of solidarity and support for our city and its community.

The project was implemented with the support of Karazin University, the Danish Cultural Institute, the Ernst von Siemens Art Foundation, the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania, Goethe-Institut Ukraine & Nuremberg House, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, the Grynyov Art Collection, and the Stedley Art Foundation.
