We invite all interested participants to take part in the training “The European Business Environment: Challenges for Ukraine,” organized within the framework of the project “Eastern Ukrainian Centre of European Studies” / EAUCES – ERASMUS-JMO-2024-COE 101176972, implemented at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The event will take place on June 14–15 and 21–22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The goal of the training is to introduce Ukrainian entrepreneurs to the key regulations, standards, and procedures in force in the European Union in the fields of entrepreneurship, foreign economic activity, digital trade, and legal responsibility.
During the training, participants will gain up-to-date knowledge about doing business in the European Union, understand where to find necessary information and how to use it effectively, learn how to adapt their business to EU market requirements, explore the functioning of logistics, digital trade, and the legal system of the EU, acquire practical tools that can be applied immediately after the course, and network with expert practitioners and fellow participants to establish new professional connections.
The Training Includes 4 Thematic Modules:
Law of External Relations and Liability in Public International Law
Lecturer: Oksana Tsukan
Participants will explore how international law governs business relations between countries, legal protection mechanisms for businesses abroad, the role of the European Court of Human Rights in business practices, and how to avoid legal pitfalls when cooperating with EU partners.
Exporting to the EU: Product Requirements, Duties, and Quotas
Lecturer: Alla Saipanova
This module provides a clear understanding of how to tailor products to EU market standards. Topics include certification, labeling, non-tariff barriers, the quota system, and expert advice on efficient customs clearance based on the real experience of Ukrainian exporters.
Fulfillment for Business in the EU
Lecturer: Nataliia Nepriadkina
Participants will learn how the EU’s logistics infrastructure functions, which services are best suited for Ukrainian businesses, how to reduce delivery costs, and how to improve customer loyalty.
Budget Processes in the EU: Lessons for Ukraine
Lecturer: Maksym Kolisnyk
This module focuses on digital services supported at the EU level, regulations for online trade and personal data protection, and strategies for entering European e-commerce platforms.
