From 18 to 22 November 2025, students of the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Nanotechnologies of the Education and Research Institute “School of Physics and Technology”, supervised by the Head of the Department, Professor Valeriia Trusova, are undertaking an internship at the “Oberig” Universal Clinic in Kyiv.

During the internship, the students became familiar with the practical aspects of the work of a modern oncology centre, in particular with the principles of radiotherapy planning, the operation of linear accelerators, and quality-control and dosimetry systems.

Special attention was paid to safety issues, algorithms for planning treatment protocols, and multidisciplinary interaction within the radiation oncology team.

The internship became an important stage in the training of future specialists in medical physics, allowing students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice and deepen their understanding of the role of a physicist in the process of radiation treatment of oncological diseases.
