Student Yulia Yeremenko is among the Winners of the International Competition of Creative Works "Lessons of War and the Holocaust - Lessons of Tolerance"
From September 20th to September 22nd, 2023, in an online format, the final round of the 20th International Competition of Creative Works by Schoolchildren, Students, Postgraduates, and Teachers "Lessons of War and the Holocaust - Lessons of Tolerance" took place. This competition was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute for the Study of the Holocaust "Tkuma" in Dnipro.
In total, 150 applications were submitted for the competition, out of which 64 made it to the final. The works focused on topics such as the Holodomor, the Holocaust, the genocide of the Roma, the deportation of Crimean Tatars, and the contemporary genocide of the Ukrainian people in the context of Russia's large-scale invasion.
As a result of the final competition, the research work by a first-year master's student from the School of History, Yulia Yeremenko, titled "The 'Jewish Question' and Ukrainian National Communism (1917-1924)" (supervisor: Associate Professor of the School of History of Ukraine Roman Liubavskyi) won the third place.
