Sofia Baletska has Won a Grant from the University of Michigan to Conduct Scientific Research under the ATLAS Project at the CERN Nuclear Research Center

From February 19 to May 25, 2024, Sofia Baletska, a third-year student at the School of Physics of Karazin University, is conducting scientific research under the ATLAS project at the CERN nuclear research center.

The research program includes testing the operation of new detectors that will be deployed on accelerators in the future to register elementary particles during the implementation of the ATLAS project.

This work is a continuation of the successful scientific work that Sofia carried out at the Petra III synchrotron radiation source at DESY (Germany) during the winter school at DESY in February-March 2023.
