Sofiia Baletska, a fourth-year student at the School of Physics of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, participated in a prestigious scientific event — the European Conferences on Biomedical Optics 2025, held within the framework of Laser World of Photonics at the International Congress Center Messe München (Germany).
This opportunity became possible thanks to the support of the international community Optica (formerly the Optical Society of America, OSA). In March 2025, Sofiia was selected as one of the Optica Women Scholars Program recipients — a program that recognizes the achievements of the most promising young women researchers in optics and photonics from around the world.
During the conference, Sofiia had the chance to engage in discussions on cutting-edge research in the field of biomedical optics, network with leading scientists and innovators, and proudly represent both the university and Ukraine on the international stage.
We sincerely congratulate Sofiia on this remarkable achievement and wish her continued success on her path toward a scientific career!
