Student Volodymyr Kochanov — Silver Medalist at the European U23 Wrestling Championship
The university congratulates Volodymyr Kochanov, a Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class and a student of the Education and Research Institute "Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business," who has once again claimed the silver medal at the European U23 Wrestling Championship.
In the quarterfinals, he defeated his opponent from Poland (10:0), and in the semifinals, he overcame a competitor from Armenia (10:0). In the final of the 125 kg weight category, the Kharkiv wrestler faced Bulgaria's Georgi Ivanov and finished as the European U23 runner-up.
The continental competition for men and women under 23 years old in freestyle, women's, and Greco-Roman wrestling took place in the Albanian capital, Tirana, from March 8 to 11, 2025. In this championship, the Ukrainian freestyle wrestling team secured third place in the team standings.
