Staff of the School of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism Participated in a Working Meeting Between the Institute of Geography of the NAS of Ukraine and the Technical University of Berlin

From July 10 to 12, a consultation was held at the Technical University of Berlin as part of ongoing cooperation with the Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The event focused on improving the educational and research program “Environmental Management, Landscape Planning and Land Restoration”, which was launched in 2024 by the Department of Physical Geography and Cartography of the School of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Tourism.
Professor Vilina Peresadko and Associate Professor Oksana Zaliubovska presented the components of the educational and research program and, drawing on the experience of German landscape planning, discussed proposed changes to the curriculum and the content of course syllabi.
German colleagues — Professor Stefan Heiland and research fellow Saskia Arndt (Technical University of Berlin), as well as Karsten Alsleben (German Federal Environment Agency) — highly praised the developments of the Department of Physical Geography and Cartography, provided recommendations, and suggested sharing educational materials related to the training of specialists in the field of landscape and environmental planning.
During the visit, agreements were also reached on cooperation with Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture and the state enterprise “DIPROMISTO.”
