A scientific school aimed at promoting modern trends in optics and photonics through a series of lectures and practical sessions will take place on March 19–22, 2025, in Lviv.
The special theme of this edition is "Waveguides."
Topics of lectures and practical sessions:
- General theory of waveguides
- Dielectric and hollow rectangular waveguides
- Optical fibers and nanostructured optical fibers
- Photonic-crystal and metamaterial waveguides
- Metasurfaces
- Machine learning for designing specialized waveguides
Participation is free of charge.
Participants are welcome to present their research results in a poster session. The best posters will be awarded. Travel grants are available for participants from outside Lviv. Important Dates: Travel grant application deadline: February 25, 2025 (results will be announced on February 28, 2025).
