Certificate Educational Program "Ukrainian Language as the State Language in Professional Contexts" for Academic Staff and Specialists at Karazin University

On March 14, 2025, Karazin University launched professional development courses for academic staff and specialists under the certificate educational program "Ukrainian Language as the State Language in Professional Contexts."

Participants in this qualification enhancement program, aimed at improving language and professional communication competencies, include academic staff and specialists from the departments and relevant branches of the Education and Research Institute of Ecology, the "Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business," the Institute of Computer Physics and Energy, as well as the Schools of Geology, Geography, Recreation and Travel Business, and Foreign Languages. Additionally, participants come from Kharkiv National Medical University and the State Institution "Institute for Child and Adolescent Health" of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

The introductory session, conducted by the Director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, Mykhailo Tatarynov, introduced participants to the course schedule. The session covered topics such as working with the Moodle platform, the variability of educational materials, the preparation of practical materials for participants' professional needs, and safety instructions related to health and life protection during martial law conditions. It also included an initial diagnostic assessment of participants’ educational requests to create individualized learning pathways for mastering the theoretical and practical content of the certificate program.

The program's author, Ph.D. in Philology Yuliia Hariunova, welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the program’s objectives and the diversified educational process designed to effectively develop participants' language and communication skills in modern Ukrainian.

Mykhailo Tatarynov and Yuliia Hariunova also addressed participants' questions on relevant program topics.

The educational process for participants will continue until May 2, 2025.
