Extended Meeting of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering on the Occasion of Energy Workers’ Day

On the eve of the professional holiday, Energy Workers’ Day, a ceremonial extended meeting of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering was held at the Education and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The event brought together stakeholders of educational programmes, employers, and fellow educators.

The meeting was attended by Oleksii Sklomin, Head of the Zlatopil District Distribution Networks of Kharkivoblenergo; Anatolii Kolodko, Deputy Head for Operations of Kharkiv CHP-5; Yevhen Zanykhailo, Leading Power Supply Engineer (East) of VF Ukraine; Mykhailo Ishchenko, Technical Director of Ukrainian Energy Machines; Hanna Nikolaievska, Deputy Director of the V. I. Vernadskyi Kharkiv State Vocational and Pedagogical Professional College; Oleksii Soldatenko, Chief Engineer of EK Energo-TIME LLC; and Ruslan Bahach, Head of the Cyclical Commission of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Professional College.

During the meeting, participants discussed the educational programmes offered by the department, reviewed and discussed the upgraded material and technical facilities, and outlined avenues and formats for further cooperation. A round-table discussion was also held on the sustainability of Ukraine’s energy sector and the stable functioning of the national system for training specialists for the energy industry.

In addition, Artem Cherniuk, Head of the Department, and Pavlo Vasiuchenko, Associate Professor of the Department, received commemorative awards from the management of Kharkiv CHP-5 on the occasion of the plant’s 45th anniversary.
