Karazin University has Begun the Professional Development of Educators, Teachers, School directors, and Educational Technology Center Methodologist
Since January 29, 2024, educational courses for professional development have commenced at Karazin University for various categories of educators, teachers, lecturers, school directors of different types and ownership forms, as well as methodologists from seven districts of Kharkiv city, five settlement, rural, and urban councils, three rural districts, and three cities under the regional jurisdiction of the Kharkiv region. This also includes educators from a special educational institution and institutions of advanced education under regional communal ownership, as well as from Severodonetsk city in the Luhansk region and Myrgorod city in the Poltava region.
Among the participants are educators from three de-occupied city and settlement councils and two rural districts of Kharkiv region.
The educational process, organized by the university's postgraduate education center, is facilitated by highly qualified academic and pedagogical practitioners from the School of History, School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Tourism, School of Mathematics and Computer Science, School of Philology, Education and Scientific Institute "Karazin Banking Institute," Central Scientific library, and permanent external partners of the university, including representatives of communal institutions such as "Preschool educational institution (kindergarten) No. 427," "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 28," "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 51," "Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 77," and "Kharkiv Municipal Resource Inclusive Center No. 1" of the Kharkiv city council.
The educational process for various participant categories involves a seamless combination of lectures dedicated to contemporary scientific and pedagogical achievements, including those made by Karazin researchers, with practical sessions such as workshops, training sessions, situational task creation and resolution, exercises, and more.
At the beginning of the session, participants honored the memory of the residents of Kharkiv and the region, including colleagues who lost their lives since February 24, 2022.
During the inaugural session for professional development participants, the director of the postgraduate education center, Mykhailo Tatarinov, congratulated former university students on the 219th anniversary of its opening. He conducted safety instructions in wartime conditions, familiarized them with the schedule and peculiarities of the educational process under diversified programs, and conducted entrance assessments.
The educational process will continue until February 19, 2024.
