
Working Meeting with the Administration of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services
On July 31, 2025, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Anatolii Babichev held a working meeting with Oksana Radich, Director of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services.
The discussion focused on further cooperation and interaction with the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services, as well as with township and city-level social work centers in rural areas of Kharkiv Region and the city of Kharkiv. Topics included supervision services, psychological support for the population, preparation of adoptive parents, foster families, family-type orphanages, provision of primary medical care, collaboration with school social educators, and other organizational and legal aspects within the framework of the “Education for Life” system.
Mykhailo Tatarynov, Acting Director of the Institute for Continuing and Distance Education, analyzed the scope of collaboration with the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services from 2023 to 2025 and presented new areas of cooperation planned to start in September 2025.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Anatolii Babichev officially presented professional development certificates to Oksana Radich and her deputy, Olha Shcherbakova. These certificates were awarded for completing the training program “Enhancing Professional Competencies in Mental Health: Supervision as a Tool,” delivered in June 2025 by practitioner scholars of the Department of Sociology of Management and Social Work at the Education and Research Institute of Sociology and Media Communications, under the supervision of Associate Professor Iryna Yevdokymova.
In addition, original certificates were handed over for another 23 directors of social service centers and institutions from 3 rural, 12 township, and 6 city councils of the Berestianskyi, Bohodukhivskyi, Kupianskyi, Lozivskyi, Kharkivskyi, and Chuhuivskyi rural districts, as well as the city of Kharkiv, confirming their completion of the same professional development program.
