Results of the International Physicists’ Tournament: Karazin Students Among the Top Four

From April 7 to 13, the 17th International Physicists’ Tournament took place at the University of Warsaw. Ukraine was represented by a team from the School of Physics of Karazin University, consisting of: Anton Bukhtatyi — team captain, Illia Khoroshko, Anton Matiash, and Anna Bieliayeva.

This year, 26 teams registered for the tournament. Following the preliminary selection, 18 teams qualified for the on-site round.

As a result, the Karazin team took an impressive fourth place overall, conceding only to the teams from Germany, Switzerland, and France in the final round (https://score.ipt.science/ranking). The team was coached by Professor Zakhar Maiselis from the School of Physics and alumnus Hryhorii Ovcharenko.

Congratulations to the team and their mentors! We are proud of our students and professors who, despite all the challenges, managed to prepare thoroughly and outperform traditionally strong host teams.
