Implementing Visiting Professor Program at Karazin University

Dr. Henri Weisen from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, a Swiss technical university, was invited to join the educational process at the School of Physics and Technology as a guest lecturer.

The cooperation was organized under the Karazin University Visiting Professor Program.

Dr. Weisen gave a series of lectures as part of the course "Plasma-Matter Interaction" for master’s students of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics.

The leading expert in the field of fusion energy production in modern magnetic confinement facilities (his Hirsch index in the Scopus database is 38) told the students about the classical approach to this problem and the current state of research. The students of the department listened with great interest to the guest lecturer who is creating this science today.
