Call for Nominations for the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education is Open

The UNESCO Secretariat continues to accept nominations for the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education. The Prize is funded by the Government of the People’s Republic of China, and each of the two laureates will receive a monetary award of USD 50,000. Each UNESCO Member State may submit up to three nominations.
Nominations will only be considered if the project meets the following criteria:

contributes to advancing education for girls and women and promotes gender equality;

has been operational for at least two years.
Nominations must be submitted in English or French via the online platform available on the UNESCO website by 12 May 2025.

The nomination support documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by 28 April.
