Implementation of the Education and Research Cluster “Karazin University — for Students of the Metro School and Underground School of Kharkiv. 2025” Continues
At Karazin University, the implementation of the educational and scientific cluster “Karazin University — for Students of the Metro School and Underground School of Kharkiv. 2025” continues.
On October 28, 2025, the Institute of Continuing Education and the Education and Research Institute of Ecology, Green Energy, and Sustainable Development of Karazin University advanced a new stage of the cluster’s objectives, as outlined in the “Memorandum of Cooperation between V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Department of Education of the Industrial District Administration of the Kharkiv City Council” and the “Agreement of Cooperation between V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Municipal Institution ‘Kharkiv Lyceum No. 85 of the Kharkiv City Council’”.
This stage included a cascade lecture–practical and training module based on the EcoProject case for lyceum students and teachers.
Hanna Titenko, Acting Director of the Institute of Ecology, Green Energy, and Sustainable Development, presented to the cluster participants the features of the educational process at the bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels across various departments of the reorganized institute. She also informed them about admission opportunities for different majors and explained the concept of project work “Solutions for a Sustainable Environment: Practical EcoProject Cases.”
The tutors of the cluster’s planned activities — Deputy Directors Iryna Hariachevska and Alina Hrechko, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management Vitalii Karpov, Acting Head of the Department Andrii Achasov, Head of the Laboratory of Analytical Environmental Research Anna Lypchanska, and Senior Lecturer Anna Kot — guided participants through the lecture–practical module. They focused on the tasks outlined in the EcoProject case, introducing the algorithm and evaluation criteria for creating projects on relevant topics.
A distinctive feature of this event was the direct interaction between lyceum students and the institute’s best students, including question-and-answer sessions and teamwork during project creation.
During the development of project works within the Training Module, faculty members and students of the institute provided consultative and practical support in content development and presentation format selection. Participants from four groups presented their projects in an interactive defense session.
Following the cluster’s activities, Mykhailo Tatarynov, Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, received feedback from students and teachers and presented certificates of professional development to educators.
Nataliia Kutniakova, Director of the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Lyceum No. 85 of the Kharkiv City Council,” expressed gratitude to the organizers and leaders of Karazin University for their scientific and meaningful work with lyceum students and teachers. She also extended sincere thanks to the university administration, particularly to Rector Tetyana Kaganovska, for enabling the implementation of practical and experimental components of the educational process at the lyceum during the 2025/2026 academic year.
