Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko Meets with Students of Karazin University
On December 12, 2025, an important event took place at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University — a visit by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko. During the meeting with students, key issues related to the development of education, public service, and prospects for the economic growth of Ukraine were discussed.
The event was attended by Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine; Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration; Vita Kovalska, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration; as well as representatives of Karazin University, including Rector Tetyana Kaganovska and Vice-Rector Anatolii Babichev.
During the discussion with students, Yuliia Svyrydenko, together with the participants, addressed a wide range of important topics, including internship opportunities for students in state institutions, public administration as a vocation, the future trajectory of Ukraine’s economic development and post-war recovery, as well as the interaction between sociology and politics in shaping effective governance decisions.
Following the main part of the meeting, the guests visited the interdisciplinary educational and research laboratory of biomedical studies, KarazinBioMed, where they became acquainted with the areas of modern scientific research. Yurii Kot, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Director of the laboratory, spoke about innovative approaches in biomedical research and the potential for implementing the obtained results in practical applications.

As a memento of the visit, representatives of the University presented the Prime Minister with the album “Karazin University: Reflections of the Rector in Times of War,” which reflects the resilience and dedication of the Karazin University community to its mission even in the most challenging times.
