Representative of the Education and Research Institute of Physics and Technology, Olha Maksakova, Participated in the YUCOMAT 2025 Conference
From September 1-5, 2025, the 26th annual YUCOMAT 2025 conference took place in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, organized by two materials research societies: MRS-Serbia and MRS-Montenegro.
The conference focused on materials science and engineering, including physics, physical chemistry, condensed matter chemistry, and technology.
The Education and Research Institute of Physics and Technology was represented by Olha Maksakova, a senior researcher at the Department of Reactor Materials and Physical Technologies.
Distinguished scientists from the USA, Great Britain, Korea, and Italy were invited to give presentations at the opening and plenary sessions.
Notably, the event featured a presentation by Konstantin Novoselov, a 2010 Nobel Prize laureate in Physics "for groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene."
In total, the conference was divided into 5 sections, with presentations covering a wide range of topics, from advanced methods of material synthesis and processing to eco-materials and eco-technologies.
This broad spectrum of topics and the high quality of the presentations undoubtedly offer an opportunity to advance research and look optimistically toward the future.
