Representatives of the Education and Research Institute “School of Physics and Technology” Among the Winners of the “Atomic Innovators–2025” Scientific Project Competition
On May 22, 2025, the final stage of the “Atomic Innovators – 2025” scientific project competition in the field of nuclear science, atomic energy, and industry took place.
The competition received nine applications from representatives of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the National Science Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology,” NTU “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, the branch “VP ‘Atomproektinzhyniryng,’” and other units of NNEGC “Energoatom.”
There were three projects submitted in the “Scientific Research” category and six projects in the “Applied Development” category.
Congratulations to the representatives of Karazin University, in particular:

Ivan Yakymenko, Senior Researcher at the Education and Research Institute “School of Physics and Technology,” who took second place in the “Applied Development” category with the project “Experimental PET-CT Facility.”

Inna Afanasieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Physics and Plasma Physics at the Education and Research Institute “School of Physics and Technology,” who took second place in the “Scientific Research” category for her study on the isotope dilution method for determining the mass fraction of boron in boron-containing compounds using ICP MS.
