Representatives of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" Won a New Finnish-Ukrainian Grant Project

At the end of June, positive news was received regarding funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) under the TFK Programme, funded projects 2025, for the joint (Finland – Ukraine) project "MOTIVET4UA": "Promoting the Development of Multimodal Educational Practices and Teacher Competences in Vocational Education and Training (VET): Cooperation between Ukraine and Finland."

The project coordinator is the University of Jyväskylä, with project partners including JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The aim of the MOTIVET4UA project is to foster international cooperation between Finnish and Ukrainian higher education institutions, strengthen institutional capacity by enhancing teacher educators’ competences in multimodal pedagogy, digital learning, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

The project emphasizes research and development, using up-to-date data to guide pedagogical practice and system-level reform.

The project coordinator from Karazin University is Maryna Vasylieva, Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy."

The key units responsible for implementing the project at Karazin University will be the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies of the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" and the Office of International Relations.

On August 20, 2025, the first online meeting of the project participants took place to discuss steps for its implementation.

The initial steps include preparing for the launch of a series of online webinars "Research in the Field of VET" and a literature review on the topic "Pedagogical Approaches to Addressing Learning Loss."
