Representatives of the School of Physics and Technology Take Part in the “NucNext 2026: Prospects for Innovation in Nuclear Energy” Conference
On 24–25 September 2026, postgraduate students and undergraduates from the School of Physics and Technology at Karazin University took part in the NucNext 2026 conference organised by the Ukrainian Nuclear Society.
Postgraduate students Oleksandr Moroz and Ruslan Halushkov presented their research in poster format.

Ruslan Halushkov presented his research, “Nanostructured Multilayer PVD Coatings for Improving the Wear Resistance and Reliability of Nuclear Power Plant Components”, which examined modern approaches to enhancing the performance of materials in service.
Mariia Pcholkina, a second-year student at the School of Physics and Technology, presented her work, “Data-Driven Early Anomaly Detection and Fault Localization for Nuclear Power Plant Safety Using Isolation Forest”. The research focused on using data analysis methods for the early detection of anomalies and fault localisation at nuclear power plants. Mariia also took part in AtomSlam, presenting the topic in a science communication format.
