Associate Professor Olena Reshetnyak of the School of Chemistry Has Passed Away: The University Extends Its Condolences

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Olena Reshetnyak, Associate Professor of the School of Chemistry, a long-time trade union activist, and a person of great soul, principle, and boundless energy, who left us in her 71st year.

Olena Oleksandrivna valued honesty, humanity, and dedication above all else. She devoted her entire professional life to the School of Chemistry, becoming a true mentor to hundreds of students and dozens of postgraduate researchers.
Her profound knowledge, high standards, and sincere care left a significant mark on the hearts of many generations of students.

For nearly thirty years, she was an unwavering leader in the university’s trade union work on occupational safety. Always compassionate and responsible, she headed this important area of work. Thanks to her efforts, generations of university employees felt protected and heard.

For her colleagues, Olena Oleksandrivna was an example of professional dignity, determination, and kindness. Principled in her work, warm in her relationships, she always found time for advice, support, or simply a heartfelt conversation.

The bright memory of Olena Oleksandrivna Reshetnyak will forever remain in our hearts.
