The community of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and students of Tamara Ivanivna Perehon, former research associate of the Nuclear Physics Laboratory, whose heart stopped at the age of 81.
Tamara Ivanivna was an integral part of the intellectual history of our university. Her path in science began in 1961 when she became a student of Kharkiv State University (now Karazin University). After successfully completing her studies in 1966, she devoted her professional life to the School of Physics and Technology, working as a research associate in the Nuclear Physics Laboratory.
Her life story is one of dedication to physical science. In 1993, she successfully defended her dissertation and obtained PhD of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Hundreds of scientific publications in leading international journals and numerous presentations at international conferences testify to her high level of professionalism and recognition within the scientific community.
Until 2000, she worked productively at the Problem Research Laboratory of Ion Processes, where her expertise and knowledge contributed to the development of important experimental research.
Colleagues and friends will remember Tamara Ivanivna as a talented scientist, a reliable colleague, and a person of great culture. Even after her retirement, her contribution to the development of university science remained a significant benchmark for young physicists.
We share the pain of this profound loss with her family and all who knew and respected her. Her name will forever remain in the history of the School of Physics and Technology and Karazin University.
