Results of the "School of Guides" project
On June 22, the final meeting of the "School of Guides" project, held in the spring semester by the joint efforts of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archeology of the School of History and the Academician P. T. Troenko Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History, took place.
The project was led by Candidate of Historical Sciences Olha Vovk and Associate Professor Olha Pavlova, with Professor Serhii Kudelko as a scientific advisor.
The participants of the school were students of history who, during the spring semester, listened to a series of lectures from leading experts from the Kharkiv region and neighboring regions of Ukraine: practicing tour guides, museum directors and staff, cultural studies experts, heads of travel companies, and experts in rhetoric and etiquette.
The organizers of the school also have extensive experience in conducting tours, including for foreign delegations, so they were able to share not only their theoretical knowledge but also their own practical experience.
During the classes at the school, each participant worked on developing their own excursion project. The results of these creative efforts were presented at the final meeting.
It is noteworthy that some of the developed tours have already been tested in real life. Equally important is the fact that some students received invitations to work in specialized organizations in the Kharkiv region, which demonstrates the high level of their training.
We wish our students success and further achievements on their way to mastering their dream profession!
