Final Conference of ECIU4Ukraine vol. 2: Ukrainian Universities Move Closer to European Standards of Education
On November 14–15, 2024, the final conference of the ECIU4Ukraine vol. 2 project, implemented in collaboration with the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), was held at Lodz University of Technology (TUL).
Karazin University was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Zarif Nazirov and Natalia Vynnykova, Head of the Department of International Relations at the "Karazin Institute of International Relations and Travel Business."
The ECIU4Ukraine project, which lasted for a year, was funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. It aimed to integrate 10 Ukrainian universities into the European Universities Initiative.
Throughout the project, various exchanges, study visits, courses, and conferences were organized. These activities enhanced participants' professional skills, introduced them to innovative teaching methods such as challenge-based learning and micro-credentials, and fostered networking collaboration with member universities of the ECIU alliance.
The conference featured a panel discussion among university rectors, addressing strategic aspects of higher education development in Ukraine, and a training session focused on innovative teaching methods for Ukrainian universities.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks from the Rector of Lodz University of Technology and the Secretary General of ECIU, both emphasizing the importance of international support in integrating Ukrainian higher education institutions into the global academic community.
The conference concluded with a certificate award ceremony for participants, symbolizing the successful completion of the project and the beginning of new opportunities for collaboration between Ukrainian universities and international partners.
