Winners of the International Tournament of Young Physicists have been awarded certificates from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
At the 37th International Young Physicists' Tournament, a team of Ukrainian school students won gold medals for the first time in Ukraine's history. The competition took place from July 10 to 16, 2024, in Budapest.
The students were coached by Professor Zakhar Maizelis from the Department of Theoretical Physics named after Academician I. M. Lifshitz, at the School of Physics, and a teacher at the "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 161 'Impulse'" of the Kharkiv City Council.
The team members, who earned both team and individual medals, were awarded certificates by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Three of them have become students at Karazin University this year:
- Anton Matyash, a graduate of the 11th grade at "Kharkiv Physical-Mathematical Scientific Lyceum No. 27" (now a 1st-year student at the School of Physics).
- Anna Belyaeva, a graduate of the 11th grade at "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 161 'Impulse'" (now a 1st-year student at the School of Physics).
- Anton Bukhtaty, a graduate of the 11th grade at "Kharkiv Lyceum No. 161 'Impulse'" (now a 1st-year student at the School of Physics).
