Educators Choose V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University to Modernise Professional and Vocational Competences
Professional development programmes for teachers and educators have commenced at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The training involves teachers and lecturers of Ukrainian language and literature, English, mathematics, history, biology and ecology, Spanish, physical education, technology, as well as practical psychologists, principals of general secondary education institutions, principals of preschool education institutions, leaders of extracurricular education clubs, and methodologists of pedagogical management departments from the Industrialnyi, Nemyshlianskyi, Saltivskyi, and Kholodnohirskyi districts of the city of Kharkiv, as well as the cities of Merefa and Zlatopil of the Lozova district, Kharkiv region. The programmes also involve representatives of special and specialised general secondary education institutions and a higher education institution of regional communal ownership.
The educational process for participants — some of whom are attending professional development programmes at Karazin University not for the first time — is organised by the Institute of Continuing Education and delivered by highly qualified academic and teaching staff with practical experience from the School of Biology, History, Philology, the Education and Research Institute “Karazin Banking Institute”, the School of Mathematics and Informatics, and the School of Psychology.
For the delivery of practical classes and training sessions, the University has engaged practising teachers, trainers, and methodologists from the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Gymnasium No. 77 of the Kharkiv City Council” and the Municipal Institution “Preschool Education Institution (Nursery–Kindergarten) No. 427 of the Kharkiv City Council”, which are long-standing partners of Karazin University in the field of postgraduate education.
The Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, Mykhailo Tatarynov, conducted an introductory session for prospective participants of various educational programmes. He informed attendees about diversification approaches to learning during blackout conditions, outlined the specifics of conducting practical classes and training sessions, answered questions related to the preparation of final assessment presentations, and provided safety instructions in the context of martial law.
The educational process for educators will continue until 17 February 2026 and until 27 February 2026, in accordance with the approved schedule.
