An online meeting with Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Botswana, Oleksii Syvak, within the framework of Diplomacy Week

Karazin University has launched Diplomacy Week, dedicated to Ukraine's Diplomatic Service Day and the 220th anniversary of Karazin University. Students had the opportunity to learn about the art of diplomacy firsthand by engaging with Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Botswana (South Africa), Oleksii Syvak.

During the meeting, the ambassador shared insights into the main tasks of his work, the specifics of local diplomacy, and how the country's foreign policy is implemented. Karazin students received answers to their questions and valuable advice that will aid them on their path to a diplomatic career.

Representatives from the Karazin Institute of International Relations and Touravel Business also organized an interesting masterclass on "Organizing a Diplomatic Reception," where participants learned about the nuances of conducting a diplomatic event and had the opportunity to try themselves in the role of official representatives from various institutions and countries.
