The Scientists of the Education and Research Institute of the "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" participated in the international conference ICL–2024 "Futureproofing Engineering Education for Global Responsibility'''

From September 24 to 27, 2024, scientists from the Education and Research Institute of the "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" participated in the 53rd International Conference on Engineering Pedagogy “ICL–2024 Futureproofing Engineering Education for Global Responsibility,” which took place in Tallinn, Estonia, at Tallinn University of Technology.

The conference combined the 27th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning and the 53rd IGIP International Conference on Engineering Pedagogy.

This year, the conference was held in a hybrid format.

During the event, the Deputy Director of the Education and Research Institute of the "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" and Professor of the Department of Information Technologies and Mathematics, Oleksandr Kupriyanov, was awarded the Adolf Melezinek Meritorious Award from the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy IGIP for outstanding achievements and years of work in the global development of engineering pedagogy within the framework of IGIP activities.

At the conference, the university's scientists presented the Erasmus+ project Cread4Teach "Microqualifications Based on MOOCs for the Professional Development of Teachers."

This year, representatives of the Education and Research Institute of the "Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy" presented 14 papers at the conference.

Five presentations were given in conference halls in Tallinn: Oleksandr Kupriyanov presented the report “AI-Augmented Testing Platforms and Educational Templates,” Tetyana Bondarenko delivered a presentation on “Pedagogical Innovations and Educational Ecosystems for Developing Creativity and Youth Entrepreneurship,” Marina Vasilyeva presented a report on “Developing Youth Engagement in Local Communities: Experience and Modern Challenges,” Yuliya Fedorova shared scientific results on the topic “Emotional Intelligence in Business: Intergenerational Research,” and Jürgen Koberlein-Kerler, together with Ukrainian scientists, delivered a presentation on “Educational Skill Development through the Evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI).”

Nine reports were presented online: “Training Specialists in the Field of Machine Learning,” “Research on Emotional Intelligence of the Elderly in Slovakia and Ukraine,” “Artificial Intelligence in Education: The New Frontier of Application,” “AI Technologies for Foreign Language Learning in Engineering Universities,” “Modeling the Content of Virtual Mobility for Future Specialists in the Food Industry,” “Forming Professional Resilience in Future Food Industry Specialists,” “Computer Training in Mathematical Modeling for Technical Education Teachers,” “Monitoring Pedagogical Research Using the ‘Bibliometrics of Ukrainian Science’ System,” and “Innovative Educational Environment as a Condition for Developing Resilient Competencies in Future Vocational Education Teachers.”

Additionally, within the conference, the institute’s representatives participated in excursions to the laboratories of TalTech.
