On December 17–18, 2024, Kyiv Hosted an In-Person Intensive Training by the Educational and Research Institute "Academy of Teaching" for Future Educators.
The event focused on the theme: "Teacher Competencies in the Context of Modern Challenges."
As part of the intensive, students participated in sessions on:
- The New Ukrainian School reform, led by Liliia Hrynevych, Vice-Rector of Karazin University;
- Inquiry-Based Learning, facilitated by Nataliia Morze, Professor and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, and Mariia Boiko, Associate Professor;
- A trauma-informed approach in education and self-regulation of the psycho-emotional state of educational process participants, delivered by Tetiana Holovatenko, Ph.D.;
- Tools for self-reflection for educators, presented by Tetiana Datsenko, Ph.D. in Psychology.
In addition to the educational program, students participated in a cultural program. They visited the National Reserve "St. Sophia of Kyiv", the exhibition "Two Marias" dedicated to the art of Mariia Prymachenko and Mariia Halushko, and the Kyiv Planetarium, which featured the program "Voyager: A Journey to Infinity."
The training concluded with a reflection session where students discussed their experiences and received participation certificates.
