Joint Meeting of Karazin University Representatives and Kharkiv City Council

On December 24, 2024, an joint meeting was held at Karazin University with the participation of representatives from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and the Kharkiv City Council. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of participation in joint European projects aimed at the development of the city.

The university was represented by Vice-Rector Zarif Nazirov, Head of the Department of International Relations Irina Shteymiller, Head of the NCP "European Institute of Innovation and Technology" Professor Vitalina Babenko, and staff members of the Department of International Relations.

The Kharkiv City Council was represented by Deputy Directors of the Department of International Cooperation, Alisa Panova and Mykhailo Dolzhenko.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation within European funding programs such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and other international initiatives. Special attention was given to joint participation in projects aimed at supporting educational, cultural, and scientific initiatives that could be key to the region's development.

The participants emphasized the importance of active communication between the university and the city council for the successful integration of Kharkiv into the European scientific and educational space. A working group was agreed upon to coordinate the preparation of grant applications and the implementation of joint projects.

The meeting marked another step in strengthening the partnership between Karazin University and the Kharkiv City Council, working together to develop Kharkiv as a modern European city.
